The short version
This website sets no cookies at all — not ours, not anybody else’s. It also does not load anything from other companies while you browse. That is why you have not been asked to accept or reject anything.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device, usually to remember preferences or measure how a site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage work in comparable ways, and this policy covers those too.
What this site stores on your device
One thing, and it is not a cookie. When you first arrive we show a short loading animation. So that you do not sit through it again on every page, your browser remembers that you have seen it:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
surfinLoaderSeen |
Session storage | Remembers you have already seen the opening animation, so it is not repeated as you move around the site | When you close the tab |
This is strictly necessary for the site to behave sensibly, contains no information about you, never leaves your browser, and disappears the moment you close the tab. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, no consent is needed for it.
We do not measure your visit
Many websites run analytics to count visitors. We do not. There is no analytics software on this site of any kind, so nothing records which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, or where you came from.
The map on our location pages
Our Find Us and Opening Times pages used to embed a live Google map, which contacted Google as soon as the page opened. We have replaced it with a simple location card that we draw ourselves.
If you press Open in Google Maps, you leave our site and go to Google, where Google’s own privacy policy and cookies apply. Nothing is sent to Google unless you choose to click.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add something that does use cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent first. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
