SURFIN ARRIVED IN 2003 IN THE SMALL MARKET TOWN OF BIGGLESWADE, WITH SOME BIG IDEAS.
Family owned and operated, as continues today, our mission endures: creating a great coffee shop experience for everyone.
Community spirit, friendly surroundings and a vibrant atmosphere with, of course, the best coffee!!...
COME VISIT US "WHERE FRIENDS MEET"
We are famed for our delicious home-made food; assorted paninis, toasties and sandwiches alongside our freshly baked cakes, pastries and traybakes. We also gladly support local, specialist bakeries to provide a full and varied range of great bake-off goods!
Our love for coffee keeps us busy finding and introducing the new trends and artisan offerings, but we are equally excited to bring you our range of refreshing and flavourful teas, blended frappes and smoothies.
A unique and comfortable space to enjoy with friends, or some time for yourself – make us your “must try” – we hope you find more than one reason to return…and return… to Surfin

JONATHAN MEDLOCK
“Jonny” founder of Surfin in 2003, the closest thing you can get to a human coffee bean! Extensive knowledge of the coffee industry and the many areas developing around it. Try and grab a coffee and chat with him, you will you be amazed at what there is to know about coffee – firstly though, you need to look hard to try and find him!

JULIA FENNELL
The Queen Bea(N)!! - Having spent many years managing and developing venues around Bedfordshire, she knows everything there is to know… and is known to everyone! Pop in really early and don’t be shy; she doesn’t bite but her bark might wake you!

JOHN MCGINLEY
Enjoying more than 10 years within the hospitality space, this Scotsman has learned more than how to swing his kilt! Most recently managing ‘the Lounge’ in Biggleswade. Seeing customers getting the best all-round experience gets him up in the morning, but ideally not as early as the rest of us.

SAM MEDLOCK
Proud No.1 bean … sorry, son of our Surfin founder, he works around the clock to keep the Surfin wheels turning. With incredible knowledge and experience gained from his two years in NZ and Oz, he is no longer the new coffee bean on the block! Many a flat white was enjoyed at the local Hobbit café.
